Palestinian man, 61, dies in Beit Jala car accident

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) --  A Palestinian man from the village of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, died in a car accident on a main road in Beit Jala on Monday, the Palestinian civil defense said.

Omar Ghayyada, 61, reportedly suffered a heart attack while driving his car, the Nahalin Information Center said, causing his vehicle to crash into a tree on a main road near Beit Jala government hospital.

Red Crescent crews and civil defense services arrived at the scene of the accident.
