Video: Palestinian woman shot after alleged stab attack in Afula

Oct. 9, 2015 2:35 P.M. (Updated: Oct. 9, 2015 11:21 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian woman was shot and injured after an alleged stabbing attempt in Afula on Friday, Israel's army and police said.

Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said a Palestinian woman attempted to stab an Israeli security guard and was shot at the scene.

Israeli media said she was seriously injured.

A video of the incident shows the Palestinian woman surrounded by Israeli security forces at the bus station and appearing to hold an object in her hand.

Amid shouting, the security forces open fire multiple times at the woman, who drops to the ground. She appears to pose no threat to the heavily armed forces when she was shot.

The latest incident comes amid widespread unrest over the past few weeks, with an upsurge in demonstrations and stabbing attacks since Oct. 1 which have seen four Israelis, including two settlers, killed.

On Friday, Muhammad Fares Abdullah al-Jaabari, 19, was shot dead in the illegal Kiryat Arba settlement near Hebron after stabbing a border police officer.

Two Palestinian teenagers have been shot dead at demonstrations, including a 13-year-old boy, while three Palestinian suspects in stabbing attacks have been shot dead at the scene since last week.

Wissam Faraj, 20, was shot dead in Shufat refugee camp clashes late Thursday.

Fadi Alloun, 19, from al-Issawiya village in East Jerusalem, was also shot dead by Israeli forces after an alleged stabbing attack on Saturday, although a video of his death showed he posed no threat at the time and was running away from a group of Israelis.

MA'AN is changing its news policy, why? a news which a clear example of Israel's open terrorism ,starts with reference of lying occupiers as follows:
"Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said a Palestinian woman attempted to stab an Israeli security guard and was shot at the scene".
Shocking.

It seems perfectly reasonable that security forces shot these people who were intent on murder. Quite clearly these people posed a threat. Why do you assert otherwise? You cite Fadi Alloun as "running away", another way of putting this would be 'avoiding lawful arrest'. Shooting him was correct.

To Ryan: 'You cite Fadi Alloun as "running away"...Shooting him was correct.' ACTUALLY, if you could be bothered to watch the video, Alloun was walking, not running. The police then show up and shoot him dead without making any effort to detain him. It was simple murder.

Ryan, since when is "avoiding lawful arrest" equivalent to an automatic sentence of death? Neither Australia nor any non-apartheid, fascist government would conduct this kind of barbaric justice. Please for one second try to put aside your prejudices and think about what Israeli justice has done.

@Ryan / Australia. Shoot them for "running away". Well Ryan, you'd be a charming addition, helping the IDF descend to levels of cruelty even IS would envy. It's bad enough already.

This footage is absolutely disgusting. How any people can claim to be civilised and treat a terrified young woman like this is beyond me. If there are any moderate Jews in Israel, they need to somehow find a way to educate the rest of their clan. Ryan: a plank talks more sense.

If the Israeli plan is to goad Palestinians into paroxysms of impotent rage it's working. Why else would a young woman in modest dress from Afula resort to behaviour which is basically suicidal? (Isn't she supposed to be home enjoying the rights and freedoms of a citizen of democratic, totally NOT Apartheid Israel?) The theft of the Aqsa, the contempt for Islam

(contd.) and the cold-blooded murder of Palestinians has clearly driven her to take action: futile, self-destructive action which she CHOSE because the ONLY alternative, i.e., abject submission (which is the ONLY thing acceptable to Israel) was unacceptable to her.

This young woman was shot like a mad dog in the street (i.e., from a safe distance) so the idea of a stabbing ATTEMPT is absurd (even if it was her INTENT) while despicable characters like Ryan / Australia (whoever he is and wherever he's from) cheer on the brutality from the sidelines.

This video clearly shows everything the Israelis IDF is about and why they incite hatred towards the Israelis daily. This is clear evidence!! The world stands by as they murder innocent people daily
