BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli man was stabbed in the northern city of Afula late Thursday, following the stabbings of six other Israelis injured in three previous attacks throughout the day, Israeli police said.

Spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said a "terrorist stabbed a man" and moderately injured him in Afula, with police arriving at the scene and apprehending the suspect.

Israeli media site Haaretz reported that the victim was a soldier.

The latest stabbing attack brings the total number of Israelis injured on Thursday to seven during four separate attacks.

Early Thursday, Subhi Abu Khalifa, 19, from Shufat refugee camp stabbed and injured a 25-year-old Haredi man in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem.

The victim was taken for treatment at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, while Abu Khalifa was detained.

Later in the day, four Israelis, including a soldier, were injured by a Palestinian suspect in a Tel Aviv stabbing attack. The attacker, identified as Thaer Abu Ghazalah,19, was shot dead at the scene.

Later on Thursday Ghazalah's father and uncle were reportedly called into a police station in Tel Aviv for questioning.

A settler was also seriously wounded in the Israeli settlement of Kiryat by a Palestinian suspect, who fled the scene and has not been found.

Four Israelis, including two settlers, have been killed in attacks by Palestinians since Oct. 1.

Two Palestinian teenagers have been shot dead at demonstrations, including a 13-year-old boy, while three Palestinian suspects in stabbing attacks have been shot dead at the scene.

Wissam Faraj, 20, was shot dead in Shufat refugee camp clashes on Thursday.

Fadi Alloun, 19, from al-Issawiya village in East Jerusalem, was also shot dead by Israeli forces after an alleged stabbing attack on Saturday, although a video of his death showed he posed no threat at the time and was running away from a group of Israelis.
