BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli soldiers shot and injured two Palestinian men on Sunday night after a pipe bomb was thrown at the District Coordination Office in Beit Jala, near Bethlehem.

Medics told Ma'an that one young man was shot in the foot and another in the shoulder after they threw the explosive device at the base.

Israeli forces raided Beit Jala following the incident and temporarily closed a gate on the main road.

The DCO is located at the top of Beit Jala near the al-Makhrour valley area.
