Police: Man's body found in Beituniya

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) - Police found the body of a young man in his apartment in the town of Beituniya near Ramallah in the central West Bank shortly after midnight Saturday, a Palestinian police spokesman told Ma'an.

Luay Irzeiqat said that a 30-year-old man from the village of Kafr Jammal north of Qalqiliya in the northern West Bank was found dead in Beituniya at 1:00 AM. He said that the victim had been stabbed to death with a screwdriver in the chest.

The body was taken to hospital as police detectives opened an investigation on the case.
