Israeli forces assault Palestinian farmer in eastern Nablus

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday evening physically assaulted a Palestinian who was working in his land in eastern Nablus, a local official told Ma'an.

Ghassan Daghlas, a PA official who monitors settler activity in the northern West Bank, said that Israeli forces had assaulted Hammad Dweikat, 48, while he was working in his land inRujeibvillage east of Nablus.

Daghlas said Dweikat had been taken to Rafidia hospital in Nablus with several bruises.

Daghlas added that Dweikat has recently come under intense pressure from Israeli forces to leave his land, where an Israeli army watchtower was built several years ago.
