Palestine Technical University disbands student union

Nov. 17, 2014 11:22 A.M. (Updated: Nov. 17, 2014 11:22 A.M.)
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- The Palestine Technical university in Tulkarem has decided to disband the students' union, sources in the college told Ma'an.

The decision was made after Fatah-affiliated students suspended classes on several occasions without consulting the administration.

Other students in the union have allegedly attacked faculty members on campus, sources said.

The agricultural college said that the measure was taken because the students' union was disrupting the educational process.

The president of the students' union did not return calls seeking comment.
