Israeli settlers level Palestinian land west of Salfit

Nov. 9, 2014 1:43 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 9, 2014 8:56 P.M.)
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlers from the illegal settlement of Netafim leveled private Palestinian land near the central West Bank village of Qarawat Bani Hassan under guard of Israeli soldiers, witnesses told Ma'an Sunday.

The settlers intend to expand their settlement, which was founded in 1986 on Palestinian land from the villages of Qarawat Bani Hassan and Deir Istiya in the Salfit district, local researcher Khaled Maali told Ma'an.

Over 500,000 Israeli settlers live in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in contravention of international law.
