Sept. 28, 2014 7:18 P.M. (Updated: Sept. 29, 2014 12:48 P.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- An Israeli settler ran over a young Palestinian girl south of Hebron late Sunday, locals told Ma'an.

Red Crescent medics told Ma'an the girl, six-year-old Islam Basim al-Amour, was moderately injured after being run over in the al-Dairat area east of Yatta.

Further details were not immediately available.

About 550,000 Israelis live in settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem on lands largely confiscated from local Palestinian communities.

Under international law, all settlements in occupied territory are illegal.
