BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli officer was moderately wounded on Wednesday in the occupied Golan Heights after being struck by a stray bullet in the chest.

The officer was positioned at an outpost near the Quneitra crossing when the incident occurred. The stray bullet was likely fired during clashes between Syrian rebels and Syrian army forces, Israeli media said.
