Abbas, Mashaal to hold 2nd meeting with Qatar Emir

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas chief-in-exile Khaled Mashaal will meet with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Ibn Hamad Al Thani on Friday for the second time in 24 hours.

Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouq said the meeting was due to take place at 1 p.m. in Doha.

On Thursday, a similar meeting took place between senior PLO and Hamas officials.

The officials discussed the ongoing Israeli military offensive against the Gaza Strip and possible means to bring it to an end.
