Aug. 21, 2014 8:24 P.M. (Updated: Aug. 24, 2014 10:35 A.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces early Thursday detained three Palestinians in Beit Ummar after raiding their homes.

Mohammad Ayyad Awad, spokesman for the local activist group the Popular Resistance Committee, said that Israeli forces raided the house of Jamal Mahmoud Alqam and detained his son, Mamoun, 16.

Israeli forces also detained Mohammad Hammad Abu Maria, 51, and his son Yusef, 25, and took them to Gush Etzion center.

Abu Maria's other son Ramzi, 24, turned himself in to Israeli forces before his father was released after hours of detention.

Israeli forces also raided the houses of Mithqal and Sama Mhanna Abu Maria without any arrests reported.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said that one was detained in Beit Ummar overnight for "involvement in illegal activity."
