Kiev says 2 Russian armored vehicles captured in east Ukraine

KIEV (AFP) -- Ukrainian military on Thursday said its forces in the east of the country had captured two Russian armored vehicles with documents linking them to an elite army paratrooper unit.

"Ukrainian soldiers captured two armored vehicles of Russia's Pskov Airbourne division near Lugansk," said security spokesman Andriy Lysenko, adding that the troops manning the vehicles had fled.
