Italy confirms death of journalist Simone Camilli in Gaza

Aug. 13, 2014 3:19 P.M. (Updated: Aug. 13, 2014 3:19 P.M.)
ROME (AFP) -- Italy's government on Wednesday confirmed the death of Italian journalist Simone Camilli in Gaza during an operation to dismantle an Israeli missile.

"Simone Camilli's death is a tragedy for his family and for the country. Once more a reporter pays the price for a war that has lasted too many years," Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini said in a statement.
