4 injured during Israeli shelling of Gaza mosques

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Four were injured in Israeli shelling toward a number of mosques in the Gaza Strip on Friday.

A Ma'an reporter said that two Israeli shells were fired at the minaret of al-Mahatta mosque, injuring four people.

Another shell targeted the Ammar Bin Yasser mosque in al-Jaru area in eastern al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, causing damage to the mosque.

Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments Hassan al-Seifi said that 50 mosques have been damaged, partially or completely, during the ongoing Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip.
