HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces arrested 16 Palestinians in the West Bank overnight, locals and the Israeli army said Tuesday.

Locals said Israeli forces raided the home of Husam al-Qawasmeh in the village of Bani Naim east of Hebron and detained his father Hasan al-Qawasmeh, his wife Subhiyya al-Fakhouri, and 16-year-old Ali Hasan al-Qawasmeh.

Husam al-Qawasmeh was detained in June.

Separately, Israeli forces detained Muhammad Khalid Hamid al-Qawasmeh and Muhannad al-Heimouni in the Wadi Abu Kteila neighborhood of Hebron, locals said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said 16 Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank overnight.
