Gunmen exchange fire with Israeli soldiers near Ramallah

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Palestinian gunmen exchanged fire with Israeli troops stationed at a military checkpoint near Ramallah late Wednesday.

Witnesses told Ma'an that gunmen opened fire at Israeli soldiers at a military checkpoint near the central West Bank village of Jaba.

The gunfight continued for over 30 minutes before a large number of Israeli forces arrived in the area.

No injuries or fatalities were reported and the gunmen fled the scene.
