Israel fires on Syria after projectile lands in Golan

July 13, 2014 11:00 P.M. (Updated: July 14, 2014 12:50 A.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli army fired on Syria on Sunday evening after a projectile landed in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, military representatives said.

The army said hits were identified, and added that "Initial reports suggest that the rocket was not errant."

There were no reports of injury in the response.

The projectile fired toward the Golan started a fire, the army said earlier.
