In al-Janiya village, in western Ramallah, nine youths were hit with live fire during clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers.

A Ma'an reporter said that Israeli forces raided the village while shooting tear-gas canisters and live fire injuring several when youths replied with rocks, Molotov cocktails and empty bottles.

Israeli soldiers shut the main road to the village, prevented vehicles from entering or leaving and set up ambushes for youths.

Villagers called for ambulances when many injuries were reported and ambulances could not enter the village because the road was shut.
