Israeli forces detain young man from Ramallah-area village

July 9, 2014 1:26 P.M. (Updated: July 10, 2014 12:15 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma’an) – Israeli forces stormed the central West Bank village of Kafr Nimah west of Ramallah before daybreak Wednesday and detained a young Palestinian man, locals told Ma’an.

Witnesses said Israeli troops raided the village with more than 10 military jeeps and detained 20-year-old Wajdi Marwan Ataya. The soldiers, they said, damaged the interior of Ataya’s home before they took him into custody.

Young men from the village clashed with the Israeli soldiers who then fired gunshots at main electricity cables causing blackout in the village.
