Palestinians throw firebombs at military camp near Ramallah

July 8, 2014 1:48 P.M. (Updated: July 8, 2014 1:48 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Palestinian youths hurled Molotov cocktails at an Israeli military camp north of Ramallah late Monday, briefly setting it ablaze, a Ma'an reporter said.

Youths from the village of Umm al-Safa in the northern Ramallah district also hurled rocks at the camp, leading to clashes with Israeli forces.

Soldiers responded with rubber-coated bullets and live fire, causing injuries.

Israeli forces also chased the youths, but no detentions were reported.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said she was looking into the incident.
