Reports: Israel airstrikes target southern Gaza

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israel's army launched airstrikes on southern Gaza early Saturday after projectiles fired from the coastal enclave landed in the southern Negev desert, Palestinians in Gaza said.

There were no immediate reports of injury or damage.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the army checking the reports.
