Locals say baby girl killed by wild dog near Ramallah

June 17, 2014 1:22 P.M. (Updated: June 18, 2014 9:40 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A four-month-old baby girl is believed to have been killed by wild dogs in Bedouin dwellings on the western outskirts of Ramallah, Palestinian police said Tuesday.

Police were called to the scene after a local woman reported that she had found body parts near the family's tent. Detectives reportedly found the head of the infant, with locals suspecting that she was killed by a wild dog that lives in the area.

The dog was killed by locals and further forensic tests will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
