GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities closed the Rafah crossing with Gaza on Wednesday after it had been open for three days to allow pilgrims from Saudi Arabia to return.

Over 1,000 pilgrims returned to Gaza on Tuesday.

Gaza's sole commercial crossing, Kerem Shalom, has also been shut for since Tuesday due to the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.
