JENIN (Ma’an) – PLO factions in Jenin decided on Monday to organize a march and declared a strike in which all stores and shops of the city will be closed to support prisoners on hunger strike in Israeli jails.

Ali Zakarneh, spokesman for PLO factions in Jenin, told Ma’an that the Palestinian factions decided after a meeting to organize a public march in Jenin on Tuesday.

The march will set off from the International Committee of the Red Cross offices to the center of the city in solidarity with the hunger-strikers in Israeli jails.

Zakarneh demanded all residents of Jenin participate in the march to support the prisoners.

He assured that the factions agreed on a commercial strike on Wednesday to support prisoners and detainees in Israeli jails.
