Israeli fire injures Palestinian near Nablus

April 6, 2014 7:40 P.M. (Updated: April 8, 2014 9:54 A.M.)
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Sunday evening shot and critically injured a Palestinian man in Huwarra village south of Nablus, witnesses said.

Witnesses told Ma'an that Israeli soldiers shot the man several times, then took him away in an Israeli military ambulance.

The area was declared a closed military zone.

Israeli forces claimed a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a jeep in the village before they responded with the shooting, they said.

Calls to Israeli police were not immediately returned.
