Palestinian shot with live bullet in Nabi Saleh

April 3, 2014 9:35 P.M. (Updated: April 5, 2014 4:52 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian was shot with a live bullet and injured by Israeli forces in Nabi Saleh village north of Ramallah.

A statement from the popular resistance movement said Rami al-Rimawi was shot with a live bullet in the foot during clashes in the villages.

He was taken to Salfit Hospital with moderate injuries, it said.

An Israeli army spokesman said "a .2 caliber round was fired toward a main instigator" of a riot in which about 20 Palestinians hurled rocks at Israeli forces.

He said the forces also used riot-dispersal means during the incident.
