NABLUS (Ma’an) -- Two young Palestinian men escaped an abduction attempt by an Israeli settler in southern Nablus on Thursday, Palestinian security sources said.

A settler from Brakha near Burin village in Nablus bought a mobile phone from a cellular shop in Huwara then asked the owner to go with him to the settlement’s entrance to pay.

According to the Palestinian officials, the owner and a friend of his went with the settler in his car and on the way he pulled out a gun and threatened them.

They asked him to pull over, attacked him, seized his gun and beat him before he ran away.

The young men escaped to a Palestinian security center and handed over the settler’s gun.
