Syria: Israel strikes kill 1, 'threaten region's security'

DAMASCUS (AFP) -- Israeli air raids on Syria on Wednesday killed one person and injured seven, Syria's army said, warning that the strikes endangered regional security and stability.

In a statement, the army command warned that "these desperate attempts ... endanger the security and stability of the region."
