Photographer detained during clashes in Nabi Saleh

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday evening detained a photographer during clashes in Nabi Salih village west of Ramallah.

Bilal al-Tamimi was banned from taking photos, beaten, and arrested before being taken to an unknown destination, witnesses said.

Clashes broke out after Israeli forces raided the village and removed a flagpole with a Palestinian flag on it across from the Halamish settlement.

Israeli forces fired tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets causing dozens to suffer from excessive tear-gas inhalation.

An Israeli military spokeswoman did not immediately return calls.
