Feb. 11, 2014 10:20 P.M. (Updated: Feb. 12, 2014 1:10 P.M.)
CAIRO (Ma'an) -- The Egyptian army on Tuesday destroyed five smuggling tunnels on the Gaza border, Egyptian security sources said.

Border guards continued a crackdown against militants and smuggling groups near the border for the second day in a row.

A border guard patrol seized a load of weapons and ammunition being smuggled into Egypt. Ninety automatic rifles and 12,000 bullets were found in two cars west of Siwa.

The two drivers were also apprehended.
