RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Police are investigating the death of a woman from the Ramallah district who was found dead in her house on Wednesday, Palestinian police told Ma'an.

The 75-year-old woman from the village of Surda north of Ramallah could have been murdered by robbers, police said. They added that her house appeared ransacked when police officers arrived at the scene.

The woman's body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Al-Quds University in Abu Dis.

Police are still investigating the case.
