Report: 1 dead in Cairo bus bombing

Dec. 26, 2013 10:09 A.M. (Updated: Dec. 26, 2013 4:10 P.M.)
CAIRO (Ma'an) -- Egyptian media reported that one person was killed and four others were injured inside a public bus when an explosive device on the median was detonated remotely Thursday.

Egypt's Al-Masri Al-Youm newspaper reported that sappers found and neutralized another explosive device in the area.

Earlier AFP quoted Egyptian security officials as saying they were investigating whether the bomb had been placed on the bus or hurled by an assailant.

The victims received mild to moderate injuries, a health ministry official said.
