Teenager seriously injured by old ordnance near Hebron

Dec. 8, 2013 3:45 P.M. (Updated: Dec. 8, 2013 3:45 P.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian teenager sustained major wounds Sunday as a result of the explosion of an object in Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

Medical sources in Hebron told Ma'an that 16-year-old Mahir Adel Najajra was evacuated to a hospital after an old ordnance left by Israeli forces exploded east of Yatta.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
