TULKAREM (Ma'an) -- Clashes broke out in Tulkarem on Wednesday after Israeli forces raided the city, locals said.

Young Palestinians threw stones and empty bottles at a number of Israeli military jeeps who raided the Shwika square area of Tulkarem.

Rashid Barghouthi, 30, and his brother Ayid, 25, were evacuated to Thabit Thabit hospital in Tulkarem after they inhaled tear gas.

Several others who inhaled the gas were treated in the field.
