NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained last night the son of a Palestinian Authority security official inside Israel claiming that he intended to stab a soldier.

Palestinian sources told Ma'an that Israeli forces detained Odai Bassem Al-Harmi, 16, from Balata camp in Nablus while he was in Haifa.

Sources added that forces raided Al-Harmi's house on Jerusalem St. southern Nablus city this morning. They detained his house and searched it, taking his laptop and other personal belongings.

Al-Harmi's father works as a security general for the Palestinian Authority forces.

On Nov. 13, a Palestinian youth stabbed and killed an Israeli soldier on a bus in northern Israel.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
