Nov. 14, 2013 6:47 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 15, 2013 1:55 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma’an) – Dutch senator and member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Tiny Kox started Wednesday an official visit to Palestine, Palestinian parliamentary officials said.

Kox will author a report about the Palestinian experience two years after PACE granted the Palestinian National Council the status of “Partner for Democracy”.

The report is expected to examine key issues such as concluding negotiations for a government of national unity, and making the Palestinian National Council a democratically elected body.

Other points include refraining from violence, rejecting terrorism, recognizing the right of Israel to exist.

Kox met with several Palestinian officials including several members of the Palestinian Legislative Council as well as ministers and anti-corruption commission officials.
