Jerusalem man succumbs to 4-year-old wounds

JERUSALEM (Ma’an) – A young Palestinian man from Shuaafat refugee camp in Jerusalem on Monday succumbed to wounds he sustained four years earlier during clashes with Israeli forces in the camp.

Jerusalem activist Thaer Abed Rabbo told Ma’an that 27-year-old Rami Bajis Zalabani died Monday evening.

He highlighted that Zalabani was hit with a rubber-coated steel bullet to the chest four years ago. Since then, Zalabani has been receiving treatment in hospitals after one of his heart’s valves was hurt.

Zalabani’s funeral will be held Tuesday after midday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
