Qassam Brigades member dies in tunnel accident in Rafah

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The military wing of Hamas, al-Qassam Brigades, announced Sunday that one of its members died in a tunnel accident in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The military wing identified the man as 23-year-old Salih al-Bashiti.

They added that the tunnel in which he died was used for military purposes.

Medics confirmed al-Bashiti's death and said that he died of electric shock. His body was transferred to Abu Yousef al-Najjar hospital.
