Clashes break out in Abu Dis

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Clashes broke out on Tuesday between Palestinians and Israeli forces in Abu Dis after protests against Israel’s arrest of a cancer sufferer.

Fatah Jerusalem committee leader Anwar Bader said that Israeli forces raided the village and fired rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas at protesters and houses. Several suffered tear gas inhalation.

Bader added that protesters closed Abu Dis' streets with burnt tires and threw stones at Israeli forces.

Israeli forces arrested Huthaifa Bader, 22, earlier on Tuesday.
