Egypt allows construction material to enter Gaza

Aug. 27, 2013 9:52 A.M. (Updated: Aug. 28, 2013 8:23 P.M.)
EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities on Monday allowed the entry of construction materials into Gaza.

Twenty-six trucks, including one truck of gravel and two trucks of iron, were allowed in to be used in Qatari-funded reconstruction projects.

Last year, Qatar pledged $400 million in reconstruction funds to the Gaza Strip, and construction material for the projects entered Gaza in late December, breaking a six-year ban enforced by Egypt and Israel.
