HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A 22-year-old man was found hanged on Saturday in a shop in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, police and locals said.

Locals told Ma'an that police arrived to investigate the death of Hatim Jamil Sharabati after he was found hanged in a shop in the al-Hawooz neighborhood.

District Attorney Ashraf Mashaal ordered the transfer of the body to Hebron's public hospital to be examined by a forensic doctor.

Meanwhile, Mashaal said police had been notified of the deaths of a 7-year-old girl and a teenage girl in Hebron.

Jana Talaat Arafa, 7, died at Hebron's Red Crescent Hospital on Friday after doctors failed to resuscitate her, hospital staff said.

Separately, 14-year-old Alaa Akram Natsha died shortly after she was brought to the emergency room of Hebron's public hospital. The district attorney said a forensic doctor would examine her body.
