GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A man from the Gaza Strip died on Sunday after suffering gunshot wounds to the head, medics said.

The man, identified only as R.H, was brought to hospital with severe head injuries and later died from his injuries. The family of the man said they believe he was killed with his own gun, most likely after it accidentally went off.

Earlier on Sunday, a man drowned off the Gaza coast while trying to save his daughter's life. Mohammad al-Kilani, 42, from north Gaza died after saving his daughter, who survived the incident.
