CAIRO (Ma'an) -- Egyptian border guards on Monday uncovered eight smuggling tunnels in Rafah, security officials said.

Around a million liters of fuel was found in 23 tanks buried in the ground within the tunnels, together with fuel pumps and hoses.

Egyptian forces removed the pumping equipment and demolished the tunnels by blocking them with dirt.
