Teen drowns off Gaza coast

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A 19-year-old from Zaitoun in Gaza City drowned off the coast of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, medics said.

The body of Ahmad Naem Akel was found at Gaza City's al-Sheikh Ijleen beach, officials at Shifa Hospital told Ma'an.

Police had banned residents from swimming between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. following several drownings.
