Settlers torch olive trees near Nablus

June 30, 2013 3:11 P.M. (Updated: July 2, 2013 10:35 A.M.)
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Jewish extremists set fire on Sunday to Palestinian olive fields south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, a Palestinian Authority official said.

Ghassan Daughlas, who monitors settlement activities, said a group of settlers from the Yizhar settlement raided the Palestinians fields of the Einabus village and set fire to a vast area of olive fields, completely destroying 200 trees.

Locals extinguished the flames, he added.
