Egypt: Rocket lands in Sinai desert

CAIRO (Ma'an) -- A rocket on Tuesday landed in an empty space in the Sinai, an Egyptian official said.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Ma’an that the rocket landed in an area between al-Jedi and al-Maleez east of the Suez canal. No injuries were reported.

The official added that the rocket might have been fired in a military drill of an armed group.
