JENIN (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained two Palestinians in the northern West Bank district of Jenin on Monday, locals said.

Abed al-Rahman Adel al-Shalabi, 22, was detained from the Jenin refugee camp, while Taher Ahmad Nawahda was detained after a home raid in the al-Yamoun village.

Israeli forces were seen heavily deployed in the two areas, locals said, adding that the detainees were taken to unknown locations.

An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed the detentions.
