Gaza military judge killed 'while cleaning handgun'

June 9, 2013 12:31 P.M. (Updated: June 9, 2013 9:30 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hamas authorities are treating the death of a military judge on Sunday as an accident after he was found with a bullet through his jaw and upper part of the head, a health ministry official said.

Judge Ayman Imad Addin, 45, was cleaning his handgun when he accidentally fired a bullet, said Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesman for the Hamas ministry.

The spokesman said Imad Addin was taken from the Nuseirat refugee camp to the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City where doctors declared he was dead.
