May 20, 2013 10:02 P.M. (Updated: May 21, 2013 6:26 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Security forces in the Gaza Strip on Monday arrested a man suspected of killing an elderly relative, police said.

The unnamed suspect reportedly asked an elderly relative to borrow 200 shekels ($54), explaining that he needed money to pay off his debts.

When the woman refused, a heated argument broke out and the man attacked the woman with a wheel nut wrench.

The man then stole 5,000 Jordanian Dinars ($7,000) and $8,000 from her apartment, police said.

The 65-year-old woman was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
